This class will help improve concentration, self-esteem, and coordination skills. This learn at your own pace class will teach hand and foot techniques in a safe and well supervised setting. Please come to the first class in loose fitting clothes.
This class designed for the slightly more advanced martial arts enthusiast. Participants will learn to improve their overall coordination, power of concentration, balance, physical, and mental discipline.
This outdoor hockey league is co-op with River Trails Park District. Learn the basics of hockey including stick handling, passing, shooting, and defense while getting equal playing time. Grade levels may be combined if needed, friend request are not guaranteed. Stick and goalie equipment will be provided for players. Volunteer coaches are needed, if interested please state on registration form. A $10 late fee will apply if participant is not registered by deadline.

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club and Soccer In the Community have teamed up with the Prospect Heights Park District to bring you a soccer camp in summer 2017 the week of June 19-23, 2017. Play, learn and train with our passionate, highly qualified Chicago Fire coaches who will support your child and help him/her develop soccer skills in one week of soccer-filled fun. Spaces are limited! All players registered will receive a Soccer In The Community Dri-Fit jersey, ball, individual player evaluation and a ticket to a Chicago Fire Graduation game day at Toyota Park!
Join us for a fun workout and to learn about a sport that is rich in tradition and history. This unique class will combine stretching, movement, and other fitness concepts with running, jumping, throwing and other skills used in track and field. Hula hoops, jump ropes, parachutes, soft balls and frisbees, hurdles and other equipment will help us guide through fitness activities and track and field events in a safe environment. Boys and girls will work on body coordination, agility, balance, and self-confidence as they participate in Simon Says, Red Light-Green Light, Hoopers and other fitness games as well as sprints, relays, long-distance walking, hurdles, long jump, discus throw and other track and field events. Our fun approach will help little athletes develop a love of being active. The session will conclude with a fun-filled SportsKids track and field meet on the last day of class. Archery participants will learn the parts of an arrow and recurve bow, the basics of using a recurve bow, and fundamental shooting skills in an extremely safe environment. They also will learn an excellent, nationally recognized beginner’s 9-step to the 10 ring progression which was created by the Coaches Development Committee of the National Archery Association. Both technique and games will be a part of this class. Blunt tipped arrows, bows, and targets are provided. This class will be instructed by SportsKids Inc.
Your child will learn proper grip, basic strokes, and other beginning tennis fundamentals through lots of fun drills and tennis-like games. This class also will help children to develop hand-eye coordination, movement skills, and get a feel for the ball. Children will have a blast and gain the proper foundation on which they may continue to build and develop their interest in tennis. Equipment will be provided and age appropriate. This class will be instructed by SportsKids Inc.
